Anthony Cochrane is an actor and composer who has worked extensively in British theatre and television, with the Royal Shakespeare Company and as a recurring character in Taggart, not to mention touring America and appearing regularly in acclaimed Broadway and off-Broadway work, including Tom Stoppard's Coast of Utopia trilogy at the Lincoln Center Vivian Beaumont Theater. The trilogy won a total of seven Tony Awards including best play, more than any Broadway play in the history of the awards.

Anthony is appearing in the Alabama Shakepeare Festival's current season, playing Claudius in Hamlet, Lavatch in All's Well That Ends Well, and Mr. Bardolph in Peter Schaffer's Lettice And Lovage. He will also be playing a major character in the new Star Wars Computer Game. Musically, he is writing music for a short film by Christian Baskous called What A life, which he is also narrating.

Last year he wrote and recorded music for Alex Webb's film Hove, due to premiere at the Palm Springs Film Festival. On stage, he spent Spring of 2009 playing Autolycus in The Winter's Tale at the Folger Shakespeare Theater, Washington DC, directed by Blake Robison.
