Anthony Cochrane is an actor and composer who has worked extensively in British theatre and television, with the Royal Shakespeare Company and as a recurring character in Taggart, as well as regional productions throughout the US and appearing regularly in acclaimed Broadway and off-Broadway work, including Tom Stoppard's Coast of Utopia trilogy and War Horse at Lincoln Center Theater.

Anthony is about to appear as Philario and Belarius in Cymbeline at Yale Rep, having recently finished The Diary of Anne Frank at The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey, playing Mr. van Dann.

Prior to that he was in the Broadway premiere production of The Audience, starring Helen Mirren. This followed his turn as Charlie Clench in the St. Louis rep production of One Man, Two Guvnors and his return to the Folger Theatre in Washington D.C. as Brutus in their production of Julius Caesar.

In 2014, he made his first foray into directing with another production of Julius Caesar, this time at the New Jersey Shakespeare Theatre, before garnering great reviews as Timon in Kenneth Cavander's acclaimed version of Timon of Athens at the Alabama Shakespeare Festival.
